Presence of ‘Blue Button’, a new sea creature at St. Martin; an indication of rising ocean water temperature and climate change

 
 

Md. Sahadat, Director of Fisheries and Marine Science department of Chittagong University said to reporter that the the presence of this new type of Hydrozoa is an indicates that the ocean water temperature near st. martin is gradually rising and this can be a great threat to the existing ecosystem of st. martin. As a result corals of st. martin might diminish and the production of fish for fish farmer might get reduced to a threatening level. They are indicating that this could be an effect of climate change.
